תקציר

בישראל, כמו במדינות רבות אחרות, הכשרת מורים למתמטיקה בבית הספר העל-יסודי כוללת מרכיב נכבד של קורסים אקדמיים במתמטיקה, הניתנים על ידי מתמטיקאים. המחקר בוחן את התרומה והרלוונטיות של לימודי מתמטיקה אקדמיים להוראת מתמטיקה בבית הספר העל יסודי, תוך התמקדות בשני מימדים של ידע מתמטי להוראה: ידע של נושאים, מושגים, פרוצדורות, והיחסים ביניהם, וידע על טבעה של המתמטיקה.
