Summary
The project deals with the development of customized pedagogical kits (CPK) for high-school chemistry teaching and learning. The CPK are based on diagnosing students’ misconceptions and researching their impact on teachers and students in chemistry classes. Students’ conceptual understanding are diagnosed through diagnostic tasks developed by the chemistry group’s project team. The uniqueness of customized pedagogical kits lies in providing a different differential response to each student according to his/her perceptions and knowledge, by referring to their current understanding and deepening their chemistry knowledge. The kits include instructions for teachers as well as activities in Hebrew and Arabic for students.
