Summary
this project aims to trace the first signs of biological mechanistic reasoning in elementary school students. By interviewing elementary school children, we explore how they construct mechanistic explanations and evaluate different types of explanations (mechanistic and non-mechanistic). The main aim of this project is to develop tools that will foster the development of mechanistic reasoning in biology.
