The following are typical questions in Energy, which require an energy diagram representation. It is possible to use these questions to determine the students’ understanding of graphical representations of exothermic or endothermic reactions, or processes that involve a change in the states of matters.
Interactive graphic representations of reactions using potential energy diagrams
In the first two questions you are given an energy diagram with fixed energy levels for a given reaction. in the other questions, you are given an interactive diagram where you can adjust the energy levels of the reactants, products, and the activation energy in order to set the enthalpy change for the reaction and its activation energy.
Stoichiometry – Practice with Moles in Mass-Based Reactions
tudents are required to write the reactions themselves, balance them, and then perform the calculations. They receive three hints and ultimately get feedback on their final answer. The numerical values in the activity are generated randomly, so each time the activity is presented, different values appear.
