Spot the Differences – Friction Force
This type of activity is intended to help students distinguish between physical situations that appear similar. The difficulty: students tend to determine the direction of the friction force and ignore an additional scenario in which friction acts in the opposite direction.

Spot the Differences – Normal Force
This type of activity is designed to help students distinguish between physical situations that appear similar.The difficulty: students are often unaware that the normal force is not necessarily equal to the gravitational force, and that it can be influenced by forces other than gravity.
