תקציר: למרות העובדה שתוכניות לימוד רבות ברחבי העולם דורשות הכללה של הסטוריה ופילוסופיה של המדע, היישום בפועל של דרישה זו הוא נמוך מאד. מטרת פרויקט HIPST, הממומן ע"י האיחוד האירופי הינו לתרום לסגירת הפער הנ"ל. במאמר מתוארת מסגרת העבודה והרעיונות המנחים את פרויקט HIPST.
