תקציר:<\/b><\/td>\nהצגה נאותה של תגליות מדעיות, במיוחד אם הן משולבות עם עריכת ניסויים היסטוריים, יכולה לצמצם מיתוסים מסוימים על המדע בהוראת המדעים, ארש נובעים מחוסר ודאות בקרב חוקרים לגבי מה שמהווה "גילוי". ניתוח של הגדרות שונות מוביל להצעות להפרדה מפורשת של גורמים אובייקטיביים וסובייקטיביים בגילוי. המשמעות – הגדרת "תגלית" כתוצר של מחקר וחשיבה של המחבר, בעוד שהתגובה של הקהילה המדעית לגילוי מוגדרת כ"תגובה". ניתוח זה מבוסס על דוגמאות מההיסטוריה של אופטיקה וחשמל.<\/td>\n<\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
