תקציר:<\/b><\/td>\nהרעיונות העיקריים של תאוריית הקוונטים ותאוריית היחסות בדר"כ רק נרמזים בפיזיקה של תיכון (תלמידי י"ב). במאמר זה אנו תומכים בשימוש של ניסויי חשיבה (TEs- thought experiments) כאמצעי להצגת נושאים מודרניים, ובאופן ספציפי עבודתו של איינשטיין על היחסות. המאמר מתאר את השורשים ההיסטוריים של עבודות איינשטיין: מדובר בשני ניסויי חשיבה של גלילאו ושני ניסויי חשיבה של ניוטון אשר היו בסיסיים ל"תיאורייה המיוחדת של היחסות" (STR-Special Theory of Relativity). לאחר מכן נדגים את השימוש בניסויי חשיבה אשר הוביל למסקנות מתוך מאמרו של איינשטיין משנת 1905, מה שהיום מכונה "התיאורייה המיוחדת של היחסות". נסיק מסקנות עם ניסוי החשיבה הנוגע ביסודות "התיאוריה הכללית של היחסות" (GTR- General Theory of Relativity). נטען כי ניתן להכניס את ניסויי החשיבה שהוצגו לתכנית הלימודים של פיזיקה בכיתה י"ב או בשנה הראשונה בקולג', תוך הבנה שההיבט הסיפורי או הרקע ההיסטורי לניסוי החשיבה הוא תנאי הכרחי אך לא מספיק להצגה מוצלחת של ניסויי החשיבה.<\/td>\n<\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
