Gene. יחידת תורשה האחראית לתכונה מסוימת. במושגים מולקולריים: קטע ב-DNA המורכב מאזור מבני ומאזור בקרה, הנמצא בעמדה מסוימת על הכרומוזום ומעורב בביטוי תוצר (חלבון<\/a> או RNA) שיש לו תפקיד בתא . לכל גן<\/a> יש שני אללים הממוקמים באותו המקום בדיוק בשני הכרומוזומים ההומולוגים (מלבד כרומוזומי הזוויג).<\/p>\n
