SDG6 – Clean Water and Sanitation

The Clean Water and Sanitation challenge aims to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
As part of the Speak to Me in Numbers project, the clean water module deals with the sources for drinkable water sources in Israel. During the module, students are introduced to the largest water reservoir in Israel, the Sea of Galilee. They also learn about the water desalination process and get a taste of the water engineer’s work at the desalination plant. Students are presented a scenario where some streams leading into a river are polluted, and are asked to analyze the data and propose an appropriate solution. In the activism activity, students are challenged to save water by analyzing simple actions in their daily lives.
