SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being

This challenge calls for insuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for people of all ages in all countries of the world.  As part of this challenge, we focus on the coronavirus crisis.   Through the analysis of data and the application of mathematical skills, students learn how an epidemic spreads, the extent to which the masks we wear are effective and the size of the virus. During the module students perform an analysis of actual test data and try to examine how to optimize testing, based on their findings. At the end of the module, students analyze data about the potential for infection in different locations (businesses, parks and museums) in order to formulate their recommendations on returning to routine.
