Candidate form - Prize for outstanding Ph.D. graduates

The Department of Science Teaching at the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) will award this academic year a prize of $5,000 to an outstanding Ph.D. student whose research is in science or science education, who is in transition to start postdoctoral training in science education abroad. A special committee of WIS scientists will review the nominations and select the winner.  The CALL is open to the nomination of candidates from all the universities in Israel.

March 31, 2025

Threshold requirements 

  • Full-time Ph.D. students or Ph.D. graduates (whose degree was approved after June 2023)
  • Proven excellence in studies and research in science or science education
  • Scheduled to start their postdoctoral training abroad in science education in 2025.
  • Mother-tongue level fluency in Hebrew or Arabic and a high level of English proficiency
