The Chemistry group deals with research in chemistry education filed and curriculum development for over 30 years.
\nCurrently the group is led by two senior scientists – Dr. Yael Shwartz, and Dr. Ron Blonder. Head of the group is Dr. Rachel Mamlok-Naaman.
\nCurriculum development: The group holds a research-based design approach, in which learning materials are being developed, tested, revised and implemented. All learning materials are in-line with the formal syllabus for high-school chemistry (10th-12th grade). Our learning materials include students’ textbooks, teachers’ guides, educational software, educational games, educational movies, informative and interactive websites.
\nIn addition, we develop models, conduct and investigate wide range of teachers’ professional development, including such in which cutting edge science is being introduced to in-service teachers in collaboration with scientists from the Weizmann Institute, from other academic institutions around the world, and from the chemical industry.<\/p>\n

Our group members are partners in many international educational projects aimed at promoting chemistry education, members of international committees and are invited to share their knowledge in conferences and seminars.<\/p>\n
